योयोयां यां तनुं भक्तः श्रद्धयार्चितुमिच्छति । तस्य तस्याचलां श्रद्धां तामेव विद्धाम्पहम्
yo yo yāṁ yāṁ tanūṁ bhaktaḥ śraddhayārcitum icchati | tasya tasyācalāṁ śraddhāṁ tām eva viddhy aham ||
Anumang anyo na naisin ng isang deboto na parangalan nang may pananampalataya, pinatatatag Ko ang pananampalataya ng taong iyon—matibay at di matinag—tungo sa anyong pinili niya.
अजुन उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere devotion is supported by the divine: when a worshipper chooses a particular form to revere with faith, that faith is strengthened and stabilized toward the chosen object of worship.
In the Bhīṣma Parva’s didactic setting, Arjuna speaks about worship and faith, describing how a devotee’s intention to honor a particular form is met by a stabilizing reinforcement of that devotion.
