भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

न्यपतन्त गतप्राणा: शतशो5थ सहस्रश: । राजन! जिनके सवार मार दिये गये थे, ऐसे हाथी और घोड़े सैकड़ों और हजारोंकी संख्यामें निष्प्राण होकर पड़े थे
nyapatanta gataprāṇāḥ śataśo ’tha sahasraśaḥ |
Wika ni Sañjaya: O Hari, daan-daan at maging libu-libo ang bumagsak na walang buhay—mga elepanteng pandigma at mga kabayong napatay na ang mga sakay—nakahandusay at hindi kumikilos sa buong larangan, isang malamig na patotoo sa kapahamakan kapag nilalamon ng digmaan ang tao at pati ang mga nilikhang nakatali sa kanilang paglilingkod.
