भीष्मरक्षण-प्रकरणम् / The Protective Screen around Bhīṣma and the Śalya–Yudhiṣṭhira Clash

को हि शक्तो रणे जेतुं पाण्डवं रभसं तदा । यस्य गोप्ता जगद्गोप्ता शड्खचक्रगदाधर:

sañjaya uvāca | ko hi śakto raṇe jetuṃ pāṇḍavaṃ rabhasaṃ tadā | yasya goptā jagadgoptā śaṅkhacakragadādharaḥ ||

Wika ni Sañjaya: Sino nga ba ang makagagapi noon sa digmaan sa masidhing Pāṇḍava—yaong ang tagapagtanggol ay ang Tagapagtanggol ng buong daigdig, ang may tangan ng kabibe, diskong banal, at pamalo? Ipinahihiwatig ng taludtod na ang lakas-mandirigma ni Arjuna ay di maihihiwalay sa makatarungan at kosmikong pag-iingat ni Vāsudeva; kapag ang banal na pagprotekta ay kakampi ng matuwid na adhikain, hindi mananaig ang lakas ng tao lamang.
