Ulūpī–Citravāhinī Saṃvāda: Dhanaṃjaya-patana and Prāya-threat

स रथादवतीर्याथ राजा परमकोपन: । पदाति: पितरं क्रुद्धो योधयामास पाण्डवम्‌,तब रथसे उतरकर परम क्रोधी राजा बभ्रुवाहन कुपित हो पैदल ही अपने पिता पाण्डुपुत्र अर्जुनके साथ युद्ध करने लगा

sa rathād avatīryātha rājā paramakopanaḥ | padātiḥ pitaraṃ kruddho yodhayāmāsa pāṇḍavam ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Noon, ang hari, na nilamon ng matinding poot, ay bumaba mula sa kanyang karwahe. Nakikipaglaban nang nakalakad, galit niyang hinarap ang sarili niyang ama—ang Pāṇḍava na si Arjuna—sa digmaan. Ipinakikita ng tagpong ito na ang poot na hindi napipigil ay kayang tabunan ang paggalang sa ama at ang dharma, at gawing larangan ng labanan ang ugnayang ama–anak.
