Parīkṣit-janma-saṃkaṭa and Kuntī’s petition to Vāsudeva (परिक्षिज्जन्मसंकटं कुन्त्याः प्रार्थना च)
सा पुराभिमुखा राजन्नुवाह महती चमू: । कृच्छाद् द्रविणभारार्ता हर्षयन्ती कुरूद्वहान्
sā purābhimukhā rājann uvāha mahatī camūḥ | kṛcchād draviṇabhārārtā harṣayantī kurūdvahān ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Hari, ang napakalaking hukbong iyon ay sumulong patungo sa lungsod. Bagama’t dinudurog ng bigat ng kayamanan, nakaaabante lamang sila sa matinding hirap; ngunit habang dinadala ang kayamanang iyon, lalo nilang pinatitingkad ang galak at dangal ng mga pangunahing bayani ng Kuru.”
