Abhimanyu’s Śrāddha; Vyāsa’s Assurance of the Unborn Heir (अभिमन्योः श्राद्धं तथा गर्भरक्षणोपदेशः)

भुजाभ्यां परिगृहौनां चुक्कुशु: परमार्तवत्‌,“इसकी बात सुनकर कुरुकुलकी सारी स्त्रियाँ इसे दोनों हाथोंसे पकड़कर अत्यन्त आर्त-सी होकर करुण विलाप करने लगीं

bhujābhyāṃ parigṛhītāṃś cukruśuḥ paramārtavat

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang marinig ang mga salitang ito, niyakap at sinunggaban siya ng lahat ng kababaihan ng angkang Kuru sa magkabilang bisig at, sa tindi ng paghihirap, nagsimulang humagulhol sa nakaaawang panaghoy. Ipinakikita ng tagpong ito na kapag ang dalamhati’y di na napipigil, sumasabog ito bilang sama-samang pagdadalamhati, inilalantad ang halagang pantao na nananatili kahit matapos na sa panlabas ang dakilang digmaan.
