Disclosure and Consolation

अकरोत्‌ स ततः काल॑ शरतल्पगतो मुनि: । अयनं दक्षिण हित्वा सम्प्राप्ते चोत्तरायणे

akarot sa tataḥ kālaṁ śaratālpagato muniḥ | ayanaṁ dakṣiṇaṁ hitvā samprāpte cottarāyaṇe ||

Wika ni Vāsudeva: Pagkaraan nito, ang pantas na nakahimlay sa higaan ng mga palaso ay siya ring pumili ng sandali ng kanyang pagpanaw. Hindi siya lumisan habang ang landas ng araw ay nasa timog (Dakṣiṇāyana); nang matapos lamang ang panahong iyon at dumating ang pag-akyat sa hilaga (Uttarāyaṇa) saka niya tinanggap ang kamatayan—patunay ng disiplinadong paghahari sa panahon at ng matatag na pagtupad sa kanyang panata, kahit sa gitna ng mga bakas ng digmaan.
