Kṛṣṇasya Dvārakā-praveśaḥ — Krishna’s Return to Dvārakā and the Raivataka Festival
अवाप्य कुण्डले ते तु राजानं पुनरब्रवीत् । किमेतद् गुह्मवचनं श्रोतुमिच्छामि पार्थिव
avāpya kuṇḍale te tu rājānaṁ punar abravīt | kim etad guhyavacanaṁ śrotum icchāmi pārthiva ||
Nang makuha ang mga hikaw, muling lumapit ang pantas sa hari at nagsabi: “O panginoon ng lupa, nais kong marinig kung ano ang ibig mong sabihin sa iyong lihim at malalim na pananalita.”
सौदाय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical importance of seeking clarity when a ruler’s words are cryptic: hidden counsel (guhyavacana) should be examined through honest inquiry, especially when it bears on dharma and responsibility.
After successfully obtaining the earrings, the sage returns to the king and asks him to explain the intended meaning behind an earlier ‘secret’ or puzzling remark.
