तमोगुण-निरूपण

अन्यथा प्रतिपन्नास्तु विवृद्धा ये च कर्मण: । स्वकर्मनिरतानां च ब्राह्मणानां शुभैषिणाम्‌

anyathā pratipannās tu vivṛddhā ye ca karmaṇaḥ | svakarmaniratānāṃ ca brāhmaṇānāṃ śubhaiṣiṇām ||

Wika ni Vāyu: “Yaong mga nilalang na tumahak sa salungat na landas—na lubhang naipit sa mga gawa—kapag naubos na ang bunga ng kanilang masasamang gawa at nagsimulang mamunga ang dating nagawang kabutihan, kung gayon, sa lakas ng mga bakas na iniwan ng mabubuting gawa (saṃskāra), naaabot nila ang kalagayan ng mga Brahmin na tapat sa sariling itinakdang tungkulin at naghahangad ng kabutihan. Ibig sabihin, isinisilang sila sa gayong mga angkan; doon sila muling nagsisikap, umaangat, at napaparoon sa langit ng mga diyos—ito ang ipinahahayag ng pahayag ng Veda.”
