Kuntī’s Retrospective Uddharṣaṇa and Renunciatory Resolve (कुन्त्युद्धर्षण-प्रत्याख्यानम्)

सर्वेषां तोयकलशान्‌ जगहुस्ते स्वयं तदा । पाण्डवा लब्धसंज्ञास्ते मात्रा चाश्वासिता: पुन:

sarveṣāṃ toyakalaśān jaguhus te svayaṃ tadā | pāṇḍavā labdhasaṃjñās te mātrā cāśvāsitāḥ punaḥ ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Pagkaraan, ang mga Pāṇḍava, nang muling mahimasmasan at paulit-ulit na mapanatag ng kanilang ina, ay sila na mismo ang kumuha sa kanilang mga kamay ng lahat ng banga na puno ng tubig na hawak ng iba. Ipinapakita ng tagpong ito ang pagtalima ng anak at ang pagpipigil sa dalamhati: matapos ang pag-aliw ng ina, muli nilang tinanggap nang matatag ang mga kinakailangang ritwal at pananagutan.
