कुन्त्याः वनगमननिश्चयः — Kuntī’s Resolve to Depart for the Forest
अर्जुनश्व महातेजा रथेनादित्यवर्चसा | वशी श्वेतैर्हयैर्युक्ति्दिव्येनान्वगमन्नूपम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | arjunaś ca mahātejā rathenādityavarcasaḥ | vaśī śvetair hayair yuktaṃ divyenānugamannṛpam ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Si Arjuna, maningning sa dakilang ningning at may pagpipigil-sa-sarili, ay sumakay sa isang makalangit na karwaheng nagliliyab na parang araw, na hinihila ng mga puting kabayo, at sumunod sa hari. Ipinakikita ng tanawing ito ang disiplinadong katapatan: kahit ang pinakamakapangyarihang mandirigma ay inilalagay ang lakas sa ilalim ng pagpipigil at sumasama sa nararapat na kapangyarihan sa panahon ng paglipat.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Power is ethically grounded when governed by self-control (vaśī) and expressed as loyal service to rightful leadership; Arjuna’s splendor is paired with restraint and dutiful following.
Arjuna, shining with great brilliance, rides a divine, sun-like chariot yoked with white horses and proceeds behind the king (understood as Yudhiṣṭhira), accompanying him as events move toward the forest-dwelling phase.
