ह॒त्वाग्निं विधिवत सर्वे प्रययुस्ते यथाक्रमम्‌ । उदड़्मुखा निरीक्षन्त उपवासपरायणा:

Transliteration

hutvā agniṁ vidhivat sarve prayayus te yathākramam | udaṅmukhā nirīkṣanta upavāsaparāyaṇāḥ ||

Translation

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Matapos maghandog nang wasto sa banal na apoy ayon sa tuntunin, silang lahat ay umalis nang sunod-sunod. Dahil nag-ayuno sila magdamag, naglakad silang nakaharap sa hilaga at nakatuon ang tingin sa dakong iyon—sumusulong na may disiplina at kalinisan ng ritwal.
