Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa

Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results

लक्षणानि स्वरा: स्तोभा निरुक्तं सुरपद्धक्तय: । ओड्कारकश्नावसन्नेत्रे निग्रहप्रग्रहौ तथा

lakṣaṇāni svarāḥ stobhā niruktaṃ surapaddhaktayaḥ | oḍkārakaśnāvasa-nnetre nigraha-pragrahau tathā | vedāṅge lakṣaṇam, udātta-ādi svara, stotra, nirukta, surapaṅkti, oṃkāra tathā yajñasya netra-svarūpau pragraha-nigrahau api tasmin sthāne sthitāḥ

Wika ni Vasiṣṭha: “Naroon ang mga disiplina at sangkap na nagtataguyod sa Veda—mga tanda ng pagbigkas at mga diin ng tinig, mga awit ng ritwal at ang mga tugmang inuulit, at ang agham ng etimolohiya; ang banal na pagkakasunod ng mga himno ng mga diyos; ang pantig na Oṃ; at gayundin ang ‘pagsupil’ at ‘pagpapalaya’ na siyang mga mata ng paghahandog. Sa pook na iyon, ganap na naitatag ang buong kaayusang Vediko.”
