Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
ते दीनमनस: सर्वे देवता ऋषयश्न ये । प्रजग्मु: शरण देवं ब्रह्माणमजरं विभुम्,वे सब देवता और ऋषि दीनचित्त हो अजर-अमर एवं सर्वव्यापी देवता भगवान् ब्रह्माकी शरणमें गये
te dīna-manasaḥ sarve devatā ṛṣayaś ca ye | prajagmuḥ śaraṇaṃ devaṃ brahmāṇam ajaraṃ vibhum ||
Wika ni Bhishma: Nang may pusong lugmok, ang lahat ng mga diyos at mga pantas ay nagtungo upang manalig at sumilong kay Brahmā—ang banal na hindi tumatanda at sumasaklaw sa lahat—upang humingi ng pag-iingat at patnubay sa oras ng kapighatian.
