Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
पावन सर्वभूतानां तेजोद्युतिविवर्धनम् । विपाप्मा च स तेजस्वी तेन क्रतुफलेन च
pāvanaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ tejodyutivivardhanam | vipāpmā ca sa tejasvī tena kratuphalena ca ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Ang (kabutihang) iyon ay nakapaglilinis sa lahat ng nilalang at nagpapalago ng ningning at liwanag. Sa bunga ng handog na iyon, siya’y nagiging malaya sa kasalanan at napupuspos ng espirituwal na kaningningan.”
