Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
नदैवं नाशुभं किंचिद् विद्यते तत्र वासव | तत्र दिव्यान्यरण्यानि दिव्यानि भवनानि च
na daivaṃ nāśubhaṃ kiṃcid vidyate tatra vāsava | tatra divyāny araṇyāni divyāni bhavanāni ca ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “O Vāsava (Indra), sa kahariang iyon ay walang anumang itinadhanang kasawian, ni anumang masamang pangitain. Naroon ang mga gubat na makalangit, at naroon din ang mga tahanang makalangit.”
भीष्म उवाच
Bhīṣma emphasizes that in a higher, meritorious realm there is no place for inauspiciousness or the experience of misfortune as ‘fate’; the environment itself is described as wholly auspicious—filled with divine forests and celestial dwellings—implying the ethical fruit of dharmic conduct.
Bhīṣma addresses Vāsava (Indra) and describes the nature of a particular exalted realm: nothing inauspicious exists there, and it is adorned with divine forests and splendid heavenly residences.
