Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)

दिव्यतानेषु गायन्त: पर्युपासन्त त॑ प्रभुम्‌ तत्र दिव्यानि पुष्पाणि प्रावहत्‌ पवनस्तदा

divyatāneṣu gāyantaḥ paryupāsanta taṁ prabhum | tatra divyāni puṣpāṇi prāvahat pavanastadā ||

Sinabi ni Bhishma: “Umaawit sila sa mga himig na pang-langit at sumamba sa Panginoong iyon. Noon, ang Diyos ng Hangin ay nagpadaloy roon ng mga banal na bulaklak.” Ipinahihiwatig ng tagpong ito ang isang sagradong pagtitipon kung saan ang debosyon ay inihahayag sa masining na musika at mga handog—na ang tunay na paggalang ay nasusukat sa pagkakaisa, kagandahan, at maayos na pagsamba, hindi sa pagpapakitang-tao.
