दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

भूमिप्रदानात्‌ पुष्पाणि हिरण्यनिचयास्तथा । आज्ञा सदाप्रतिहता जयशब्दा वसूनि च

bhūmipradānāt puṣpāṇi hiraṇyanicayās tathā | ājñā sadāpratihatā jayaśabdā vasūni ca ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Mula sa pag-aalay ng lupa ay sumisibol ang mapalad na gantimpala—mga bulaklak (tanda ng dangal at ligaya), mga bunton ng ginto, kapangyarihang ang utos ay di napipigil kailanman, mga sigaw ng tagumpay, at sari-saring anyo ng yaman. Sa diwang etikal ng Anushasana Parva, pinupuri ng talatang ito ang pagbibigay ng lupa bilang pinakadakilang dāna, na nagpapatibay sa kaayusang panlipunan at sa matuwid na katayuan ng nagbibigay.
