उपतिष्ठन्ति पुण्यानि सदा भूमिप्रदं नरम् । शड्खभद्रासनं छत्र॑ वराश्वा वरवाहनम्,भूमिदान करनेवाले मनुष्यके यहाँ सदा पुण्यके फलस्वरूप शंख, सिंहासन, छत्र, उत्तम घोड़े और श्रेष्ठ वाहन उपस्थित होते हैं
upatiṣṭhanti puṇyāni sadā bhūmipradaṃ naram | śaṅkha-bhadrāsanaṃ chatraṃ varāśvā vara-vāhanam ||
Sinabi ni Bhīṣma: “Ang mga mapagpalang bunga ng kabutihan ay laging sumasama sa taong nagkakaloob ng lupa. Bilang mga tanda ng gantimpalang iyon, laging naroroon para sa kanya ang kabibe (conch), isang marangal na trono, payong panghari, mahuhusay na kabayo, at mga sasakyang higit na mainam.”
भीष्म उवाच
That donating land (bhūmidāna) is a highly meritorious act, and its fruits are described as enduring prosperity and honor—expressed through royal emblems like the conch, throne, and parasol, along with excellent horses and conveyances.
In the Anushasana Parva’s instruction on dharma, Bhishma continues teaching about gifts and their results, stating that merits constantly accompany the giver of land and manifest as signs of status, protection, and well-being.
