अध्याय ५६ — च्यवन–कुशिकसंवादः
Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
ततस्तु तौ नवमभिवीक्ष्य यौवन परस्परं विगतरुजाविवामरौ । ननन्दतु: शयनगतौ वपुर्धरी श्रिया युतौ द्विजवरदत्तया तदा
tatastu tau navam abhivīkṣya yauvanaṁ parasparaṁ vigatarujāv ivāmarau | nanandatuḥ śayanagatau vapurdharī śriyā yutau dvijavaradattayā tadā ||
Wika ni Bhishma: Pagkaraan, ang mag-asawa, nang masdan nila ang isa’t isa at makita ang sariwang pagdating ng kabataan, ay nagmistulang mga diyos na walang karamdaman. Nakahiga sa higaan, sila’y nagalak nang labis. Taglay ang mga bagong katawan na pinagkalooban ng maningning na ganda ng pinakadakilang “dalawang-ulit na isinilang” na pantas, si Cyavana, ang mag-asawa ay napuspos ng ligaya.
भीष्म उवाच
Righteous living and respectful receptivity to a sage’s guidance can yield tangible well-being; the verse highlights how anugraha (grace) received in a dharmic manner brings health, beauty, and harmony rather than mere sensual gain.
A husband and wife, newly rejuvenated through the boon/aid of the foremost brahmin sage (Cyavana), look at each other and recognize renewed youth; free from illness like the gods, they lie on their bed and rejoice in their restored vitality and splendor.
