Transliteration

bhīṣmas teṣāṁ kathāḥ śrutvā ṛṣīṇāṁ bhāvitātmanām

Translation

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Nang marinig ni Bhīṣma ang mga salaysay ng mga pantas—mga taong hinubog at nilinis ang kalooban—pinagnilayan niya ang mga iyon, at tinanggap ang kanilang mga salita bilang mabigat na patnubay sa matuwid na pamumuhay.
