Brāhmaṇya-प्रश्नः — The Inquiry into Attaining Brāhmaṇya
Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
विबोध्यते विमानस्थ: सो5प्सतेभिरभिष्ठत: । पुष्कर
vibodhyate vimānasthaḥ so 'psarobhir abhiṣṭhitaḥ | puṣkare prabhāse naimiṣāraṇye sāgarodake devikāyām indramārge tathā svarṇavindau ca snātvā manuṣyo vimānam āruhya svargaṃ gacchati, apsarasaś ca stutibhir enaṃ vibodhayanti |
Siya’y ginising habang nakaupo sa karwaheng makalangit, na pinaglilingkuran ng mga Apsara. Sa pagligo sa mga banal na tawiran—Puṣkara, Prabhāsa, Naimiṣāraṇya, tubig-dagat, Devikā, Indramārga, at Svarṇavindu—ang tao’y sumasakay sa sasakyang panglangit at umaakyat sa langit; at ang mga Apsara, habang pumupuri, ay gumigising sa kanya roon.
अजड्रिय उवाच
The verse teaches the efficacy of tīrtha-dharma: reverent bathing at renowned sacred sites is portrayed as generating great merit that culminates in heavenly ascent, symbolized by a vimāna and the welcome of Apsarases.
Ajadriya describes the फल (result) of bathing at specific tīrthas: the pilgrim attains heaven, rides a celestial chariot, and is attended and awakened by praising Apsarases—an image of honored arrival in the next world.
