Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that reverent listening to a profound, confidential dharma-instruction is itself a meritorious act that shapes one’s future: it leads to birth in a noble family and to the extraordinary clarity of remembering previous lives.

The speaker concludes or endorses a preceding ‘secret’ counsel by stating its promised fruits. It functions as a phalaśruti-style assurance, encouraging the audience to hear and preserve the teaching by highlighting its karmic and spiritual rewards.
