Gṛhastha-Vrata
पुत्रो द्युतिमतस्त्वासीदू राजा परमधार्मिक: । सर्वलोकेषु विख्यात: सुवीरो नाम नामत:
putro dyutimatastvāsīd rājā paramadhārmikaḥ | sarvalokeṣu vikhyātaḥ suvīro nāma nāmataḥ ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “Si Dyutimān ay nagkaroon ng isang anak na naging haring sukdulan sa katuwiran. Siya’y bantog sa lahat ng daigdig; ang kanyang pangalan ay Suvīra.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ideal of dhārmic kingship: a ruler’s legitimacy and lasting fame are grounded in exemplary adherence to dharma, not merely power or inheritance.
Bhīṣma continues a genealogical and moral account, introducing Dyutimān’s son Suvīra, emphasizing that he became a celebrated king distinguished by supreme righteousness.
