रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
भक्त्या हाुनन्यमीशानं परं देव॑ सनातनम् | कर्मणा मनसा वाचा भावेनामिततेजस:
bhaktyā hāunanyam īśānaṁ paraṁ devaṁ sanātanam | karmaṇā manasā vācā bhāvenāmitatejasaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vāyu: “Sa debosyon, sambahin si Īśāna—ang Kataas-taasang Diyos, ang walang-hanggang Diyos. Sa gawa, isip, salita, at damdaming panloob, ang sinumang may di-natitinag na iisang-tutok na paggunita ay paulit-ulit na nagmumuni kay Śiva, ang Panginoon ng daigdig na walang hanggan—gising man o tulog, naglalakad man o nakaupo, maging sa simpleng pagbukas at pagdilat ng mga mata—ay nagkakamit ng di-masukat na ningning na espirituwal. At yaong nakikinig at nagpaparinig tungkol sa Kanya, nakikipag-usap tungkol sa Kanyang kadakilaan, at patuloy na pumupuri sa Kanya sa pamamagitan ng himnong ito, sila man ay nagiging karapat-dapat purihin; laging panatag at nagagalak sa debosyong iyon.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Single-pointed devotion to Śiva—expressed through action, thought, speech, and heartfelt intention—purifies the devotee and yields ‘amita-tejas’, an immeasurable spiritual potency. Continual remembrance, praise, and sharing of His glory are presented as ethical-spiritual disciplines that lead to contentment and inner joy.
In Anuśāsana Parva, Vāyu speaks in praise of Śiva and describes the conduct and fruits of devoted worship: constant meditation in all daily states (waking, sleeping, moving, resting) and ongoing recitation/listening of Śiva’s praises. The passage frames devotion as a lived practice rather than a momentary ritual.
