निर्णये वा महाबुद्धे सर्वधर्मविदां वर । प्रत्यक्षमागमो वेति कि तयो: कारणं भवेत्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: nirṇaye vā mahābuddhe sarvadharmavidāṃ vara | pratyakṣam āgamo veti kiṃ tayoḥ kāraṇaṃ bhavet ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O dakilang may isip, pinakamainam sa lahat ng nakaaalam ng dharma! Kapag kailangang lutasin ang isang usapin ng dharma, dapat bang umasa sa tuwirang pagdama (pratyakṣa) o sa awtoritatibong tradisyon (āgama)? Sa dalawang ito, alin ang siyang mapagpasya sa pagtatatag ng isang doktrinal na pasya?”
