अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
Sinabi ni Cyavana: “Inumin natin ang Soma kasama ng mga Aśvin, na malaya sa lagnat at dalamhati.” Sa salaysay sa paligid nito, ang mga diyos—nabahala sa magiging bunga ng pagsalungat sa pantas—ay nagpayuhan at nagsabi kay Indra: “O hari ng mga diyos! Magbigay-galang at yumukod ka sa dakilang Brahmin na si Cyavana (hindi mabuting makipagtunggali sa kanya). Sa gayon, makaiinom kami ng Soma nang panatag kasama ng kambal na Aśvin.”
