अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उपमन्युरुवाच एवं स्तुतो महादेवस्तण्डिना ब्रह्म॒वादिना । उवाच भगवान् देव उमया सहित: प्रभु:
Upamanyur uvāca: evaṁ stuto Mahādevas Taṇḍinā brahmavādinā | uvāca bhagavān deva Umayā sahitaḥ prabhuḥ ||
Wika ni Upamanyu: Nang siya’y mapuri nang gayon ni Taṇḍi, ang Brahmanang bihasa sa banal na pananalita, ang makapangyarihang Panginoong Mahādeva—kasama si Umā—ay nagsalita sa kanya.
