अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
ओंकाररथमारुह्य ते विशन्ति महेश्वरम् । अयं स देवयानानामादित्यो द्वारमुच्यते
oṃkāra-ratham āruhya te viśanti maheśvaram | ayaṃ sa devayānānām ādityaḥ dvāram ucyate ||
Wika ni Vāyu: “Sakay ng karuwahe ng banal na pantig na Oṃ, ang mga ganap na nilalang na iyon ay pumapasok kay Maheśvara. Ang Araw (Āditya) na ito ang tinatawag na ‘tarangkahan’ ng Devayāna—ang landas ng mga diyos—na dinaraanan ng mga nakapagtanto upang makalampas na walang pagbabalik.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Oṃ is presented as a direct spiritual ‘vehicle’: by meditating on and realizing Oṃ, accomplished seekers attain entry into Maheśvara (the supreme Lord). The Sun is symbolized as the ‘gate’ of Devayāna, indicating the upward, liberating passage for those established in higher knowledge and disciplined practice.
Vāyu is speaking and describes the destiny of siddhas (perfected practitioners): they ‘mount’ the Oṃkāra as a chariot—i.e., use Oṃ as their means of contemplation—and thereby enter Maheśvara. He further identifies Āditya (the Sun) as the doorway associated with Devayāna, the divine route beyond rebirth.
