अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
अतः: प्रवर्तते सर्वमस्मिन् सर्व प्रतिष्ठितम् । अम्मिंक्ष प्रलयं याति अयमेक: सनातन:
ataḥ pravartate sarvam asmin sarvaṁ pratiṣṭhitam | asmin eva pralayaṁ yāti ayam ekaḥ sanātanaḥ ||
Kaya nga, mula sa Kaniya nagmumula ang lahat; sa Kaniya nakatatag ang buong sansinukob; at sa Kaniya rin nalulusaw ang lahat sa oras ng pagkalusaw. Siya lamang ang iisang Walang-hanggang Persona—ang nananatiling saligan, pinagmulan, at hantungan ng lahat ng nilalang.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches a theistic-metaphysical unity: the supreme eternal Person is the origin (utpatti), support (sthiti/pratiṣṭhā), and end (pralaya) of the entire cosmos. Ethically, it grounds dharma in recognizing a single ultimate foundation beyond transient forms.
Vāyudeva is speaking, affirming the supremacy and eternality of the one Puruṣa by describing the cosmic cycle—creation, sustenance, and dissolution—as dependent on and returning to Him.
