एतान् संग्रामकाले तु पठत: क्षत्रियस्य तु । व्रजन्ति रिपवो नाशं क्षेम॑ च परिवर्तते,युद्धकालमें इन नामोंका पाठ करनेवाले क्षत्रियके शत्रु भाग जाते हैं और उसका सब ओरसे कल्याण होता है
etān saṅgrāma-kāle tu paṭhataḥ kṣatriyasya tu | vrajanti ripavo nāśaṃ kṣemaṃ ca parivartate ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: Sa mismong oras ng digmaan, kapag binibigkas ng isang kṣatriya ang mga pangalang ito, ang kanyang mga kaaway ay itinutulak tungo sa kapahamakan, at ang kanyang kaligtasan at kagalingan ay muling napagtitibay sa lahat ng panig.
भीष्म उवाच
Recitation of sacred names/formulas at the time of battle is presented as a dharmic aid for a kṣatriya: it brings protection (kṣema) and causes hostile forces to fail, emphasizing inner alignment with righteousness as a source of strength.
