इति श्रीमहाभारते शतसाहस्रयां संहितायां वैयासिक्यामनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि विष्णुसहस्रनामक थने एकोनपञ्चाशदधिकशततमो< ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate śatasāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ vaiyāsikyām anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi viṣṇusahasranāmakathane ekonapañcāśad-adhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Sa gayon, sa banal na Mahābhārata—ang kalipunang ginawa ni Vyāsa na may isang daang libong taludtod—sa loob ng Anuśāsana Parva, sa bahagi tungkol sa dharma ng pagbibigay, nagwakas ang kabanatang tumatalakay sa pagbigkas ng “Isang Libong Pangalan ni Viṣṇu”: ito ang kabanata bilang 149.
