धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

अन्निहोत्रमुपासं श्व जुद्दानश्व॒ यथाविधि । सर्वातिथ्यमुपातिष्ठन्‌ शेषान्नकृतभोजन:

agnihotram upāsaṁś ca juhuyād aśvaṁ yathāvidhi | sarvātithyam upātiṣṭhan śeṣānna-kṛta-bhojanaḥ ||

Wika ni Mahādeva: “Panatilihin niyang palagian ang Agnihotra at, ayon sa tuntunin, maghandog ng mga alay sa banal na apoy. Sa paggalang sa bawat panauhin sa nararapat na pagkamapagpatuloy, kumain lamang siya matapos mapaglingkuran ang iba, at gawing pagkain ang natirang bahagi mula sa mga handog. Sa ganitong disiplina sa tungkuling pangtahanan—may pagpipigil, kababaang-loob, at katapatan sa itinakdang ritwal—pinangangalagaan niya ang dharma sa pamamagitan ng sakripisyo, pagpipigil sa sarili, at paglilingkod.”
