Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets (रुद्रनाम-बहुरूपत्व-प्रकरणम्)
ये त्वन्ये शुद्धमनसो दयाधर्मपरायणा: । सन्तश्नलक्रचरा: पुण्या: सोमलोकचराश्न ये
ye tv anye śuddha-manaso dayā-dharma-parāyaṇāḥ | santaś ca nitya-kriyā-carāḥ puṇyāḥ soma-loka-carāś ca ye ||
Ngunit yaong iba na may dalisay na isipan, nakatuon sa habag at dharma, namumuhay bilang mga tunay at disiplinadong banal, at hitik sa kabutihan—ang gayong mga nilalang ay gumagalaw sa daigdig ni Soma. Ipinahihiwatig ng taludtod na ang panloob na kadalisayan, habag, at matatag na pagsunod sa wastong asal ay humahantong sa marangal na kalagayan pagkamatay.
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse teaches that purity of mind, compassion, and unwavering commitment to dharma—supported by steady observance of rightful duties—generate puṇya (merit) and lead to an elevated posthumous destination, here described as Soma-loka.
Maheśvara is describing categories of beings and their destinations based on conduct. In this line he points to “other” virtuous persons—pure-minded, compassionate, dharma-oriented, and disciplined—who attain and dwell in Soma’s heavenly realm.
