यावच्च जायते मर्त्यस्तावच्छूरो भविष्यति । वह अपने सारे पापोंको धो डालता है और परलोकमें आधिपत्य प्राप्त करता है। फिर जब वह मनुष्ययोनिमें जन्म लेता है, तब शूरवीर होता है
yāvac ca jāyate martyas tāvac chūro bhaviṣyati |
Ipinahayag ni Skanda: “Hangga’t ang tao ay patuloy na isinisilang bilang mortal, paulit-ulit din siyang isisilang na may diwa ng bayani. Sa pamamagitan ng dalisay na bunga ng kanyang asal, nahuhugasan niya ang naipong kasalanan, nakakamit ang pamumuno sa kabilang daigdig; at pagbalik niya sa pagsilang bilang tao, muli siyang pinagkakalooban ng tapang at likas na kabayanihan.”
स्कन्द उवाच
The verse links moral-spiritual consequence with character across births: by the fruit of one’s deeds (especially those praised in this context), sin is purified, higher status is gained in the next world, and on returning to human birth one is naturally endowed with heroic valor.
Skanda is speaking and describing the continuing results of a person’s conduct across the cycle of births—attainment in the other world and the reappearance of bravery when reborn among humans.
