Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa
- आदरणीय पुरुषके चरणोंको हाथसे पकड़कर जो नमस्कार किया जाता है
bhīṣma uvāca | evam uktaḥ pratyuvāca maitreyaḥ karmapūjakaḥ | atyantaśrīmati kule jātaḥ prājño bahuśrutaḥ ||
Ang paggalang na ginagawa sa paghawak ng kamay sa mga paa ng taong karapat-dapat igalang at pagyukod ay tinatawag na “abhivādana”; at ang pagdikit ng dalawang palad sa añjali, pagdampi nito sa noo, at pagyuko ng ulo sa taong karapat-dapat sambahin ay tinatawag na “praṇāma.” Wika ni Bhīṣma: Nang masabihan nang gayon, si Maitreya—na sumasamba sa katuwiran sa pamamagitan ng wastong gawa—ay sumagot. भीष्म उवाच
