मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
स्वयंप्रभाभिनरिीभिर्विमानस्थो महीयते
svayaṃprabhābhinārībhiḥ vimānastho mahīyate | nānāmadhurabhāṣābhiḥ nānārātibhir eva ca ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: “Nakaupo sa isang makalangit na vimāna, siya’y pinararangalan ng mga diwata na nagniningning sa sarili nilang liwanag. Siya’y inaayusan at inaasikaso nila sa sari-saring matatamis na pananalita at iba’t ibang ligaya—larawan ng mariringal na aliw na sinasabing bunga ng marangal na kabutihan.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the traditional idea of karma-phala: meritorious conduct is portrayed as yielding honor and refined enjoyments in higher realms, symbolized by a celestial vimāna and radiant attendants.
Bhīṣma describes a person (previously discussed in the chapter) being exalted in a heavenly vimāna, attended and honored by self-radiant divine maidens who charm him with sweet speech and varied pleasures.
