Yayāti–Aṣṭaka Saṃvāda

स राजा सिंहविक्रान्तो युवा विषयगोचर: । अविरोधेन धर्मस्य चचार सुखमुत्तमम्‌,वे राजा सिंहके समान पराक्रमी और नवयुवक थे। सम्पूर्ण विषय उनके अधीन थे और वे धर्मका विरोध न करते हुए उत्तम सुखका उपभोग करते थे

sa rājā siṁha-vikrānto yuvā viṣaya-gocaraḥ | avirodhena dharmasya cacāra sukham uttamam ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang haring iyon ay matapang na gaya ng leon at nasa kasiglahan pa ng kabataan. Nasa ilalim ng kanyang ganap na kapangyarihan ang buong kaharian. At kailanma’y hindi sumasalungat sa dharma, namuhay siya at tinamasa ang pinakamataas na kaginhawahan—kasaganahang nakaugat sa matuwid na asal, hindi sa paglabag.
