Yayāti’s Request for Youth: Sons’ Refusals and Pūru’s Acceptance (ययातेः यौवन-विनिमयः)
यः समुत्पतितं क्रोधमक्रोधेन निरस्यति । देवयानि विजानीहि तेन सर्वमिदं जितम्,देवयानी! जो उत्पन्न हुए क्रोधको अक्रोध (क्षमाभाव)-के द्वारा मनसे निकाल देता है, समझ लो, उसने सम्पूर्ण जगत्को जीत लिया
yaḥ samutpatitaṁ krodham akrodhena nirasyati | devayāni vijānīhi tena sarvam idaṁ jitam ||
Wika ni Śukra: “O Devayānī, alamin mo: ang sinumang nagtataboy sa galit na sumibol na—sa pamamagitan ng hindi pagngangalit, ng pagtitiis at pagpipigil-sa-sarili—ay sa gawa ring iyon nagwagi sa buong daigdig na ito.”
