Subhadrā-haraṇa: Arjuna’s Taking of Subhadrā and the Dvārakā Assembly’s Response
ते तया तैश्व सा वीरै: पतिभि: सह पठ्चभि: । बभूव परमप्रीता नागैभोंगवती यथा,पाण्डव द्रौपदीके साथ और द्रौपदी उन पाँचों वीर पतियोंके साथ ठीक उसी तरह अत्यन्त प्रसन्न रहती थी जैसे नागोंके रहनेसे भोगवतीपुरी परम शोभायुक्त होती है
te tayā taiś ca sā vīraiḥ patibhiḥ saha pañcabhiḥ | babhūva paramaprītā nāgair bhogavatī yathā ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: Kasama ng limang magigiting na asawa, si Draupadī ay namuhay sa ganap na kasiyahan—gaya ng Bhogavatī, ang maringal na lungsod ng mga Nāga, na lalo pang nagniningning kapag napupuno ng mga ahas.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that ethical domestic life is judged by harmony, consent, and orderly conduct; even an exceptional arrangement is framed as dharmic when it produces concord and well-being rather than conflict.
Vaiśampāyana describes Draupadī living happily with her five heroic husbands (the Pāṇḍavas), using a simile: as Bhogavatī shines when inhabited by Nāgas, so she flourished in companionship with them.
