बक-राक्षसस्य आह्वानम् तथा वृक्षयुद्धम्

अनुज्ञातः स गच्छेति क्षात्रा ज्येष्देन भारत । जगाम तत्र यत्र सम सारसा जलचारिण:,भारत! तब बड़े भाई युधिष्ठिरने “जाओ!” कहकर उन्हें अनुमति दे दी। आज्ञा पाकर भीमसेन वहीं गये, जहाँ ये जलचर सारस पक्षी कलरव कर रहे थे
anujñātaḥ sa gaccheti kṣātrā jyeṣṭhena bhārata | jagāma tatra yatra sma sārāsā jalacāriṇaḥ ||
Sabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Bhārata, nang pahintulutan siya ng panganay na kapatid, ang kṣatriya na si Yudhiṣṭhira, na nagsabing ‘Humayo,’ agad na umalis si Bhīmasena. Pagkatanggap ng pahintulot, nagtungo siya sa mismong pook na pinanggagalingan ng huni ng mga sārasa na naninirahan sa tubig.”
