भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः

Bhīma’s Search for Water and the Forest Halt

एवमुकक्‍्त्वा तु कौन्तेयो भ्रातृभि: सहितो5नघ: । अर्धक्रोशे तु नगरादतिष्ठद्‌ बहिरेव स:,यों कहकर पापरहित कुन्तीनन्दन अर्जुन अपने भाइयोंके साथ नगरसे बाहर ही आधे कोसकी दूरीपर ठहर गये थे

evam uktvā tu kaunteyo bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito 'naghaḥ | ardhakrośe tu nagarād atiṣṭhad bahir eva saḥ ||

Pagkasabi niya nang gayon, si Arjuna, anak ni Kuntī—walang dungis—ay huminto kasama ng kaniyang mga kapatid sa labas mismo ng lungsod, sa layong kalahating krośa. Ipinapahiwatig ng salaysay ang isang sinadyang paghinto na may pagpipigil: hindi sila agad pumasok sa lungsod, kundi nagpanatili ng magalang na agwat, tanda ng pag-iingat, pagiging angkop, at pagpipigil-sa-sarili sa kilos.
