Linga Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 84

देवैर्विष्णोः शरणागमनम्—शिवलिङ्गस्थापनं, शिवसहस्रनामस्तवः, सुदर्शनचक्रप्रदानं च

नित्यो नियतकल्याणः पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तनः दूरश्रवा विश्वसहो ध्येयो दुःस्वप्ननाशनः

nityo niyatakalyāṇaḥ puṇyaśravaṇakīrtanaḥ dūraśravā viśvasaho dhyeyo duḥsvapnanāśanaḥ

Siya ay Walang‑hanggan; ang Kanyang mapalad na kabutihan ay itinakda nang di nagkukulang. Ang pakikinig at pag‑awit ng Kanyang banal na mga pangalan ay kusang nagiging kabutihang‑loob. Umaabot sa malayo ang Kanyang papuri; Siya ang nagdadala ng bigat ng sansinukob. Siya ang dapat pagnilayan sa pagninilay‑muni, at winawasak Niya ang masasamang panaginip—inaalis ang di‑mapalad na palatandaan at ang takot na nalilikha nito sa nakagapos na kaluluwa (paśu).
