उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः
प्राणायामाद्भवेत्क्षिप्रं सर्वपापपरिक्षयः इन्द्रियाणां वशित्वं च तस्मात्प्राणांश् च संयमेत्

Sa pamamagitan ng prāṇāyāma, mabilis na nalulusaw ang lahat ng pāpa (mga dumi at hilig na nagpaparumi), at nakakamit ang pagpipigil sa mga pandama; kaya dapat pigilan at isaayos ang mga agos ng prāṇa.
