क्षुपदधीचिसंवादः — शिलादतपः, वरसीमा, मेघवाहनकल्पे त्रिदेवसमागमः
कोटिकोटिसहस्राणि अहर्भूतानि यानि वै समतीतानि कल्पानां तावच्छेषापरत्रये
koṭikoṭisahasrāṇi aharbhūtāni yāni vai samatītāni kalpānāṃ tāvaccheṣāparatraye
Di-mabilang—sa crores sa crores at libu-libo—ang mga kosmik na “araw” na lumipas bilang mga kalpa; at sa susunod na tatlong bahagi na nalalabi, gayon din karami ang dapat pang matapos. Ganyan umiikot ang sukat ng panahon; ngunit ang Pati (Śiva), di-nadadapuan ng kalpa at pagkalusaw, Siya lamang ang di-nagagapos na Panginoon sa ibabaw ng lahat ng paśu.
