FAQs

It presents the Atman as capable of purification through sacred contact (tīrtha) and right end-of-life circumstances, implying a moral-causal order where spiritual destiny accords with inner purity.

No specific technique is named; the verse emphasizes tīrtha-sevā and the transformative power of sacred space, which in Kurma Purana complements Shaiva disciplines (e.g., Pāśupata-oriented purification) rather than replacing yogic practice.

With Vishnu (as Kurma) teaching the fruit of reaching Rudra’s realm, the text reflects the Purana’s integrative stance: devotion and merit can culminate in Shiva’s world without sectarian contradiction.
