Suta (narrating Vyasa’s teaching to the sages, within the Purana’s discourse on dharma)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Indirectly: it emphasizes disciplined dharma (right procedure and intention) as a purifier of conduct, which in the Kurma Purana supports inner fitness for realizing the Self taught more explicitly in the Ishvara Gita.
No specific meditative technique is stated; the verse highlights karma-yoga through dharmic observance—properly offering havya and kavya—presented as a sanctifying discipline that complements later teachings on Pashupata Yoga and inner worship.
By grounding spirituality in shared dharma (offerings to Devas and Pitrs), it reflects the Purana’s integrative approach where sectarian identity is secondary to righteous practice—supporting the Shaiva-Vaishnava synthesis that culminates in the Ishvara-centered teachings.
