Shloka 47

Dharma of Non-Injury, Non-Stealing, Purity, and Avoidance of Hypocrisy (Ācāra and Saṅkarya-Nivṛtti)

पतितव्यङ्गचण्डालानुच्छिष्टान् नावलोकयेत् / नाभिभाषेत च परमुच्छिष्टो वावगुण्ठितः

patitavyaṅgacaṇḍālānucchiṣṭān nāvalokayet / nābhibhāṣeta ca paramucchiṣṭo vāvaguṇṭhitaḥ

Huwag tumingin kahit man lamang sa mga nalugmok, may kapansanan, o sa isang caṇḍāla kapag sila’y nasa kalagayang ucchiṣṭa (karumihang dulot ng tirang pagkain). At huwag ding makipag-usap sa kanila—lalo na kung ang sarili ay nasa matinding karumihan, o kung nakatalukbong/nakatakip ayon sa ritwal ng karumihan.
