नाभिवाद्यास्तु विप्रेण क्षत्रियाद्याः कथञ्चन / ज्ञानकर्मगुणोपेता यद्यप्येते बहुश्रुताः

nābhivādyāstu vipreṇa kṣatriyādyāḥ kathañcana / jñānakarmaguṇopetā yadyapyete bahuśrutāḥ

Ang isang brāhmaṇa ay hindi kailanman dapat maunang bumati sa mga kṣatriya at iba pang varṇa—sa anumang pagkakataon—kahit sila’y may kaalaman, matuwid na gawain, mabubuting katangian, at malawak na pagkatuto.
