Dakṣa-yajña-bhaṅgaḥ — Dadhīci’s Teaching and the Destruction of Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
Narrator/Teacher voice within the Purva-bhaga discourse (affirming Shaiva–Vaishnava synthesis)
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a single supreme lordship operating through complementary divine aspects—Viṣṇu as the creative power and Īśvara/Rudra as the overseeing consciousness—implying one ultimate reality expressed as two names/forms.
The verse supports a contemplative theism used in Purāṇic yoga: meditate on the one Īśvara as the unified source of creation and governance, dissolving sectarian duality—an orientation compatible with Pāśupata-style devotion and inner absorption on Rudra–Nārāyaṇa.
It explicitly teaches their unity in cosmic causation: the universe is said to be “Rudra–Nārāyaṇa-udbhava,” arising from both together, emphasizing non-competitive, non-dual harmony between Śiva and Viṣṇu.
